Christmas and New Year timetables

Timetables

Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries are also running to holiday timetables over the Christmas and New Year period.
Visit the Transport Info website to check if the time of your service has altered prior to travel.

Travelling to work during Christmas and New Year

Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 December

CityRail is running to a Saturday timetable on the three working days between Christmas and New Year with additional services in the morning and afternoon peak periods to help get you to and from work.

Remember, normal fares apply over the Christmas and New Year period.

New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve, CityRail is running to a Saturday timetable with additional services from 4pm so you can get to and from New Year's Eve events in the city and around the CityRail network. New Year's Eve transport and ticketing arrangements.

Trackwork in December 2011 and January 2012

While many people take some well-earned time off during the Christmas and New Year period, CityRail makes the most of reduced passenger numbers to do improvement work around the network.
